ABS in 8th place in Google search

Greetings! It's been a while since my last post, at ABS we may be quiet, but certainly we are nothing but relentless working towards the release of 2.5.
Before my progress report, I would like to share this interesting nugget, today Automatic Backup is above Carbonite in an open Google search!!! Pretty cool ha!. have a look at my Google search.

Now the report,
  • Time machine functionality DONE!
  • Encrypt/Decrypt DONE
  • Filter files to backup DONE
  • Incremental Backup using the above features together DONE
  • New native ZIP technology DONE
  • New Backup Engine (improve speed and logic) DONE
  • FTP Backup IN-PROGRESS
  • Syncronize 2 folders IN-PROGRESS
  • Implement new Backup ENGINE to main software IN-PROGRESS
  • Restore backup (Including decrypt functionality) IN-PROGRESS
  • Re write Live Update to work under win7/vista IN-PROGRESS
What a progress! the new Backup Engine not only is incredible fast, twice as fast as its predecessor, but crazy simple internally allowing us to grow and troubleshoot any time. Also the new Backup Engine provides a much clear and digested report of activities, including a separate list of deleted files.

Stay tuned we are not too far away from the alpha version.

New Configuration UI

It's been four days since my last report. And I'm really happy to tell the good news, we decided to destroy and build from scratch the Profile Configuration UI. The Old was great and served us well, but  have enough room for improvements while immersing users in an  and simple UI while configuring profiles.

We decided to postpone 2.5 and include this new an enhanced configuration UI.  It s be simpler, cleaner and get a profile done in four steps at best. Without further due, I will let you see a preview...
